This compelling, original adventure tells the story of a diverse team of scientists, soldiers and adventurers uniting to explore a mythical, uncharted island in the Pacific, as dangerous as it is beautiful. Cut off from everything they know, the team ventures into the domain of the mighty Kong, igniting the ultimate battle between man and nature. As their mission of discovery becomes one of survival, they must fight to escape a primal Eden in which humanity does not belong.
Kong: Skull Island is presented in a 2160 4k Ultra HD presentation and looks absolutely flawless. The HDR in this film represents visually one of the best transfers I’ve ever seen on 4k format. Crushed blacks and consistent color palettes with lush natural scenery, explosions and attention to skin detail and outer garments makes this film look truly beautiful. HDR is most notable with the natural scenery of the jungle environment with grass fields, mountains and blue skies, which truly makes this film’s presentation remarkable. Consistency in peak brightness and color makes you salivate for more. Attention to skin detail is fluid, sharp all the way down to the actors pores. CGI in this film looks realistic to the human eye. Overall I am very pleased with the visual presentation of this film, which made me want to re watch the film right after it ended.
Dolby Atmos and True HD 5.1 are presented with excellent precision in sound quality to complement the sharp detail of the films visual presentation. Every detail of sound sounds crisp and clear, dialogue is fluid and consistent levels are presentable throughout the films 118 minute length. The roars of King Kong and the suspenseful soundtrack makes this a very enjoyable film to watch on any occasion. Sounds of natural environments such at the wind blowing, sounds of footsteps on tropical soil or the eerie sounds of shooting armory is a overall exceptional experience. This film is raw and to viewers its one experience you don’t want to miss, even for those that aren’t a fan of Kong. Give this film a try and you wont be disappointed.

One of the best visual experiences that I’ve ever encountered in a 4k film. Visually stunning all around, which makes you crave for more. Kong: Skull Island is a very fun and enjoyable film, which pulls you right into the drivers seat from the start and never stops. Warner Bros has delivered a masterful enjoyable viewing experience and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I will be revisiting this film again very soon and will be recommending this film to be viewed in its 4k glory to my friends and family. Visual presentation and sound quality is key to a successful film, whether its good or bad. This film is GOOD.
